Sharadiya Navratri, the great festival of worship of Shakti, Ashwin Shukla Pratipada will start with the installation of Kalash on 15th October i.e. Sunday. In such a situation, preparations for Durga Puja have started in full swing in Patna. There has been increased activity in the markets. Construction work of pandals with bamboo sticks is also going on at the intersections. Many theme based pandals are being made in the city. Today we are telling you about two such pandals being built in Boring Road of the city.
This time the statue of Mata will be special at Boring Road intersection
This year, the world famous ‘Prem Mandir’ located in Vrindavan, Mathura is being built in the form of a grand pandal near Boring Road intersection. The idol of Maa Durga will be installed in this pandal. This pandal will be approximately 55 feet high and 60 feet wide. Whereas the color of the pandal will also be like the original colors of the temple. The puja will be organized here under the auspices of the Boring Road Durga Puja Committee of the Trade Board. Last year, the pandal was constructed on the lines of Victoria Memorial in Kolkata. This time a nine feet high statue of Maa will be installed here. Apart from this, idols of Mahishasura, Kartik, Ganesh, Saraswati etc. will be present in the pandal. The pandal is being constructed by the artisans of Sonu Decorator. Sculptor Bittu Pandit of Shalimpur Ara is preparing the idol of Maa Durga.
Modern lights will add charm
Grand decorations will be done here along with the puja pandal. In a distance of about one kilometre, grand decoration will be done with colorful bulbs from Satyendra Babu Mod to Patna Montessori School. Apart from this, modern lights installed in adjacent houses and buildings will add to the charm. The responsibility for this has been given to Bunty Decorator.
Pooja has been happening continuously since 1983.
Chairman Umesh Singh said that at present there are about 25 people in the committee. The worship and idol installation here was started in a very simple way in the year 1983 with just four people. During the puja, Halwa will be distributed among the devotees in Mahaprasad on Saptami, Kheer on Ashtami and Khichdi on Navami. Keeping the security in mind, CCTV cameras will be installed at various places, while 30 volunteers will also be deployed. About eight lakh devotees from Patna and outside areas also come here to have darshan of the Mother Goddess.
Darshan of Dakshineshwar Kali Mata in Kasturba Path located on Boring Road
This year, a grand pandal like Dakshineswar Kali Temple of Kolkata will be constructed in Kasturba Path located on Boring Road. Mother Durga will be present in this pandal. The pandal to be built here will be 55 feet high, 27 feet wide and 41 feet long. At the same time, the color of the pandal will also be prepared like the original colors of the temple. The puja will be organized here under the aegis of Sri Sri Sarvajan Durga Puja Committee. Every time a different theme is kept for the pandal here. Last year, a pandal was constructed on the lines of Pashupatinath temple. This time, a 22 feet long and 12 feet wide idol of Mata will be installed here in two forms and in different postures. Apart from this, idols of Mahishasura, Ganesh, Saraswati and Kartik etc. will be present in the pandal.
The lights will add charm
There will be grand decoration arrangements near the Shiva temple on Kasturba Path. From here till Jamuna Apartment, grand decoration will be done with colorful bulbs. Apart from this, Rolex and LED lights installed in adjacent houses and buildings will add to the charm. Mostly LED lights will be used in decoration. For this, the artisans of Kolkata have started working. The construction of the statue has also started ten days ago.
Such is the preparation for puja
Committee Chairman Kumar Pankaj said that there are about 20-25 people in the committee. During the puja, the committee will distribute moong halwa as Mahaprasad on Saptami, kheer on Ashtami and khichdi among the devotees on Navami. On Dashami, Holi of vermilion and farewell aarti will be organized by women. He told that the doors will be opened for the devotees on Saptami. Keeping security in mind, CCTV cameras will be installed at various places. Along with this, volunteers will also be deployed. Devotees from Patna and outside areas also reach here.
