Even after this, the water flow of Lokine river continues rapidly. The villagers have also tried to stop the soil here. After the rise in the water level of the river and the breach in the dam, the villagers have started worrying about floods.
The water level of Son river also increased

Erosion prevention committee formed for repair of dams
Meanwhile, an anti-erosion committee has been formed to repair the dams damaged due to floods and rains. The Chief Engineer of Water Resources Department has issued an order in this regard. A three-member committee has been formed. In this, Chief Engineer of the department E. Vinay Kumar Singh, Flood Control Force, Chairman Nagendra Rai and Superintending Engineer Vinod Kumar have been included. It has also been said that this year many dams are likely to be damaged due to floods and excessive rains. It needs repair before the year 2024. In view of this, the said committee will inspect all the sites. Will prepare its report and submit it to the department. Repair work will be done on this basis. After site inspection, a sub-division level officer will be deputed from the administrative level regarding the action plan. So that joint preventive work can be done.
Young man died due to drowning in the river
At the same time, after the rise in the water level of rivers, many incidents of death due to drowning are also coming to light. A young man drowned in the Kosi river while crossing the river with grass in Khagaria. The SDRF team searched extensively but the body could not be found. At the same time, once again on Sunday the SDRF team searched the dead body. After much effort, the body of the missing youth was taken out from the Kosi river on Sunday evening. There was chaos among the family members when the dead body was found. On hearing the news of the dead body, the wife and children of the deceased became distraught. Pasraha police present on the spot took the body into custody and sent it to Sadar Hospital for post-mortem. Let us tell you that Jaichand Mahato was crossing the Kosi river with animal fodder near Satishnagar village. During this time he drowned. Pasarha police station incharge Sanjay Kumar Vishwas said that the body of the youth who drowned in Kosi river has been recovered. The body has been sent to Sadar Hospital Khagaria for post-mortem.
