Preparations are being made in full swing in Bokaro for Durga Puja. There has been increased activity in the markets. The construction work of grand pandals with bamboo poles is also going on war footing at the intersections. A grand pandal is being built in the format of the famous ‘Prem Mandir’ of Vrindavan in Sector-2C. The idol of Maa Durga will be installed in this pandal. This pandal will be approximately 100 feet high and 120 feet wide. Here the puja is organized under the auspices of Sri Sri Sarvajanik Durga Puja Committee Sector-2. President Rajeshwar Singh told that puja has been happening here for about 45 years. Every year a pandal is constructed here on a unique theme. Said that this time a 10 feet high statue of Maa Durga will be installed and worshiped. Said that a glimpse of the love temple of Vrindavan will be seen in the pandal. For this, a special team of artisans from Jamtara has been called. The cost of the pandal will be Rs 10 lakh. Meena Bazaar and food stalls will be the center of attraction in this. There will be food stalls around the puja pandal premises for the visitors. Many types of swings etc. are being arranged for the entertainment of children. There are also special arrangements for the safety of all the visitors. CCTV cameras are being installed. There will be arrangements for fire brigade. Surveillance will be done through drones. Officials and members of the puja committee will also keep a special eye on the devotees.
