After the announcement of the date of assembly elections in Rajasthan, Congress and BJP have become completely active. Congress has fielded candidates on most of the seats for the Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh assembly elections, but the list of candidates from Rajasthan is still awaited.

There are reports that about 100 names have been finalized by the Congress for the fight for 200 seats, but there is a problem with three big leaders which seems to be a cause of trouble for the party. According to the news circulating in the media quoting sources, Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot is not able to reach a consensus on the three loyalists who were held responsible for the legislature party meeting not being held last year. Two ministers are also included in these three.

Voting will be held on all 200 assembly seats of Rajasthan on November 25. Counting of votes will take place on December 3. A meeting was held in Delhi on Wednesday in the presence of Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge and Rahul Gandhi. It is being told that candidates have been selected for 100 seats in this meeting. According to the news coming from sources, in the meeting of Congress Central Election Committee, a serious discussion has been held about three loyalists of Ashok Gehlot, Shanti Dhariwal, Mahesh Joshi and Rajasthan Tourism Development Corporation Chairman Dharmendra Rathod.

It is being told that Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot expressed his desire to give tickets even after the report against the three, although the party does not agree with him. At present, the names of all three have been put in the ‘pending’ list. If reports are to be believed, the name of Congress Secretary Dheeraj Gujjar, who is in-charge of Uttar Pradesh, has also been put in the pending list. He is also said to be close to big leaders.

If reports are to be believed, survey agencies and their reports were also discussed in the meeting held in the presence of Rahul Gandhi and party president Mallikarjun Kharge. According to sources, corruption allegations against a senior leader were also discussed during the meeting. This issue also arose when Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Yatra passed through Rajasthan. Rahul objected only to the name of that leader whereas 106 names were discussed. Now the party leadership will take the final decision on the four names.
