
Ravana Dahan was done at at least seven places on Tuesday (24 October) on the day of Vijay Dashami in Ranchi, the capital of Jharkhand. The biggest Ravana was built in the historical Morhabadi ground. Burning of 70 feet Ravana here Chief Minister Hemant Soren Did it.

At around quarter to seven in the evening, Chief Minister Hemant Soren pressed the button and the effigies of Ravana, his younger brother Kumbhakarna and son Meghnad burst into flames. The Chief Minister was wearing a purple colored kurta and white pajama. She had also worn a red chunari around her neck. When the CM pressed the button, his sons were watching him carefully.

Along with Chief Minister Hemant Soren, Ranchi MP Sanjay Seth and MLA CP Singh were also present on the stage. Many colorful cultural programs were also presented on this occasion. Especially Chhau dance was greatly appreciated by the people.

The Chief Minister also addressed the people on this occasion. He wished everyone a happy Vijayadashami. He also wished for the happiness and prosperity of the state and its people. There were huge fireworks on this occasion. Ravana Dahan has been organized in Ranchi by the Punjabi community for years.

Before burning Ravana, Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) working president and state head Hemant Soren performed the aarti of Ram, Lakshman and Sita. After this he pressed the remote button to burn Ravana.

Chief Minister Hemant Soren also posed for photographs with Ram, Lakshman, Sita and Bal Hanuman. He was holding the mace of Bal Hanuman with his hands. The Punjabi fraternity thanked Hemant Soren for making the event a success.
