Former Chief Minister of Jharkhand Raghuvar Das has left the membership of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). On Thursday (26 October), he resigned from the primary membership after meeting National President JP Nadda in New Delhi. During the day he had met former President Ramnath Kovind. After this he also met BJP’s National Organization General Secretary BL Santosh. Let us tell you that Raghuvar Das Will take oath as Governor of Odisha on October 31. Therefore he has resigned from the primary membership of BJP. It was during Navratri that President Draupadi Murmu appointed him the Governor of Odisha.
On October 18, the President appointed the Governor of Odisha.
Rashtrapati Bhavan had issued a notice appointing him as the Governor of Odisha on 18 October 2023. Apart from Raghuvar Das, Indra Sena Reddy Nallu was made the Governor of Tripura on the same day. Rashtrapati Bhavan had said that their appointment will be effective from the day these people assume office. Let us tell you that Raghuvar Das was a grassroots leader of BJP. He had joined BJP from Janata Party. Traveled from booth level worker to State President and then Chief Minister of Jharkhand. Before becoming the Chief Minister, he worked as a minister of many departments. Babulal Marandi was a minister in the government of Arjun Munda. Now he has been promoted to the post of Governor.
Raghuvar will take oath as Governor of Odisha on October 31.
Raghuvar Das became the first Chief Minister of Jharkhand, who completed his five-year tenure. In the organization of BJP, he rose from Mandal President to State President and National Vice President. He was made the National Vice President twice. In 2014, when BJP won the maximum number of seats in the Jharkhand Lok Sabha elections, the central leadership found him to be the most suitable person to take over the power of the state. He was the Chief Minister of Jharkhand from 2014 to 2019. When BJP lost the elections in 2019, the central leadership again made him the vice president. Now he will take oath as the Governor of Odisha on October 31.
