Yes, many times it happens in online shopping that a customer orders one product and gets something else delivered to him.

Incorrect order placement and delivery errors are common in online shopping. One such new case has come to light. A person ordered Sony TV during Flipkart Sale. But instead of Sony, a TV of another brand was sent to him.

The customer came to know about this when the person doing TV installation on behalf of the company came to his house. When the customer opened the TV box, he was shocked. There was a TV in the compartment, but it was not of Sony but of Thomson company. The customer had ordered a Sony TV worth Rs 1 lakh, but a cheaper TV was sent to him.

The customer shared the information about sending a cheap TV instead of an expensive TV on X/Twitter. The customer told that he was waiting for Flipkart’s Big Billion Days sale to buy Sony TV so that he could watch the ICC Cricket World Cup on the big screen. The customer wrote on X- I bought Sony TV from Flipkart on 7th October. Delivery took place on 10th October and the installer from Sony arrived on 11th October. He unboxed the TV himself and we were shocked to see a Thomson TV inside. No items like stand or remote were found in the Sony box.

While sharing the unboxing pictures, the user said that he immediately contacted Flipkart’s customer care center and told them his problem. The surprising thing is that even after two weeks of complaining, there was no solution to his problem. Flipkart has responded after the user’s tweet went viral. Expressing grief over this matter, the company has asked the user to share the order information again.
