Due to declining sales after dominating the market for several decades, Hindustan Motors Ambassador Production was discontinued in 2014. HM later sold the popular brand to French auto maker Peugeot for ₹80 crore. After which its ownership came to Birla and once again everyone’s favorite Ambassador car is ready to be launched in electric version.

The Ambassador electric car is an upcoming electric car in India which is being jointly developed by Hindustan Motors and French car manufacturer Peugeot. The car will be based on the original Ambassador car, which was a popular sedan manufactured in India from 1957 to 2014.
Ambassador Electric Mileage/Range/ Engine
The Ambassador electric car is likely to have a 40kWh lithium-ion battery pack that will provide a range of 250 kilometers on a single charge. The car will have a 100kW electric motor which will enable it to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in less than 10 seconds.
Ambassador Electric Price
The car will be produced at Hindustan Motors’ Chennai plant in India. The price of the car is expected to start from Rs 20 lakh.
