
Anarock Report On Housing Sale And Price: In Delhi-NCR, during the first nine months of the current year, January-September, the sales of luxury homes priced above Rs 1.5 crore have doubled to 13,630 units. This information has been obtained from the data of real estate consultant Anarock. In the same period last year, sales of luxury homes in Delhi-NCR were 6,210 units. Anarock has released data on sales of luxury homes in seven big cities.

Sales of luxury residential units in seven major cities have more than doubled to 84,400 units during January-September this year from 39,300 units in the same period last year. Anarock Chairman Anuj Puri said that the luxury residential segment is growing rapidly due to increased demand after the Covid epidemic. Supply in this section has also improved. The concept of owning a home has also strengthened after Covid. Apart from this, people are now buying bigger and better houses.

According to Anarock data, sales of luxury homes in Hyderabad tripled to 13,630 units during January-September this year, from 3,790 units in the same period a year ago. During the period under review, sales of luxury homes in Bengaluru increased from 3,810 to 9,220 units.

Sales of luxury residential units in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR) increased by 74 percent from 20,820 to 36,130 units. Sales of luxury homes in Pune almost tripled from 2,350 units to 6,850 units. Sales of luxury homes in Chennai increased from 1,370 to 3,330 units.

Sales of luxury homes in Kolkata increased by 69 percent to 1,610 units during January-September this year, from 950 units in the same period last year. Anarock data, covering all price categories, shows that a total of 3.49 lakh houses were sold in these seven cities in the first nine months of this year. The share of luxury homes in this was 24 percent. During the same period last year, the share of luxury homes in total sales was only 14 percent.
