BPSC Teacher Recruitment: B.Ed is not valid for appointment of teachers in schools, read the decision of the Supreme Court

BPSC Teacher Recruitment B.Ed pass candidates have got a blow from the Supreme Court. B.Ed pass candidates will not be able to become teachers in primary schools. In the hearing on the writ petition filed on behalf of B.Ed qualified candidates in the Supreme Court on Tuesday, Justice Aniruddha Bose said that after August 11, 2023, B.Ed pass candidates will not be able to become teachers in primary schools. On behalf of Bihar Primary Young Teachers Association, B.Ed candidates had filed a petition to stay the results of teacher appointment.

It has been said that BPSC has done injustice to B.Ed degree holders by releasing the results even after the petition is pending in the Supreme Court. B.Ed qualified candidates were also demanding appointment in primary school. But, the Supreme Court has clearly refused. This has shocked 3.90 lakh B.Ed pass candidates of the state. Bihar government’s lawyer told the court that all the seats have been filled with D.El.Ed candidates. Therefore, there is no need for B.Ed pass candidates.
