Just before the assembly elections in Chhattisgarh, Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel is in dire straits. Central investigating agency Enforcement Directorate (ED) has claimed that Bhupesh Baghel has received Rs 508 crore from the owners of Mahadev App. ED has claimed that it has recorded the statement of a person involved in money transactions, who has alleged that the promoters of Mahadev betting app have so far paid Rs 508 crore to Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel. Also ED said that this is a matter of investigation. The agency has arrested Asim Das after recovering Rs 5.39 crore from him who was involved in money laundering in the election-bound state of Chhattisgarh. ED is investigating against Mahadev online betting app and its promoters under the Anti-Money Laundering Act. The agency said in a statement, ‘Interrogation of Asim Das, forensic examination of the phone recovered from him and investigation of e-mails sent by Shubham Soni (one of the high-ranking accused of Mahadev Network) have revealed many shocking allegations. . It has been revealed that the promoters of Mahadev App have been making regular payments to Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel in the past and till now around Rs 508 crore has been paid.
