BJP ignored someone close to Vasundhara Raje! Yunus Khan took this big decision

There is a lot of excitement regarding the assembly elections in Rajasthan. Meanwhile, a big news is coming from BJP, especially related to former Chief Minister of the state Vasundhara Raje. In fact, BJP had refused to give ticket to Yunus Khan, considered one of Raje’s close associates and confidants. Two days after BJP took this decision, the former Rajasthan cabinet minister has said that he is resigning from the party. He has announced to contest the upcoming assembly elections as an independent from Didwana constituency. He has been elected MLA from here twice. Khan organized a huge rally in Didwana on Saturday. After this the said decision was taken, where his supporters urged him to contest the elections. Let us tell you that earlier this week, BJP fielded Jitendra Singh Jodha as its candidate from Didwana, after which the market of speculations was hot. Jodha was also a BJP candidate in the 2018 assembly elections but was defeated by Congress’s Chetan Dudi.

When I asked a question to the public…

Talking about the 2018 elections, BJP had fielded Yunus Khan against Congress leader Sachin Pilot from Tonk constituency. He lost this election by a huge margin. Khan spoke to the media after the rally and said that I will send my resignation to BJP. This is so that I cannot be expelled from the party. He said that I am not alone in the election field but thousands of workers are going with me. These are BJP workers. I would request the party to accept my resignation. It is my duty to respect public sentiments. I had come to this rally to ask questions from the public and I got answers to them. The public said that I should contest elections. Since BJP has already declared the name of the candidate from the area, I have no option but to leave the party and contest as an independent. I will file my nomination on 6th November.

Many parties contacted

Yunus Khan said that many parties have approached him but he has decided to contest the elections as an independent. He said that BJP has given about 25 tickets to such people who have worked to defeat the party. The atmosphere of the party which was founded by Deen Dayal Upadhyay ji, Atal Bihari Vajpayee ji, Advani ji, Bhairon Singh Shekhawat ji has now deteriorated. It makes me sad to see this. I still like the ideology of BJP. I feel that the party has taken many decisions in haste. Khan further said that the party provided an opportunity to the leaders opposing Raje to join BJP.

Was counted as number two in Raje government

Yunus Khan, who started his political career from BJP under the supervision of former Chief Minister of Rajasthan and Vice President of India Bhairon Singh Shekhawat, has been MLA from Didwana in 2003 and 2013. During his tenure as minister, Khan held important portfolios like Transport and PWD in the Raje government. He was often considered number two in the government. In recent years, Khan, who commands a strong following among Muslims, Jats and Rajputs in Didwana, has been ignored by the BJP. BJP is not fielding Muslim candidates in the elections. Khan was BJP’s only Muslim candidate in 2018. After withholding his ticket for several days in the last election, the party finally fielded him from Tonk.
