BPSC Teacher Recruitment Exam: There is good news for the candidates who want to become teachers in Bihar. Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) Chairman Atul Prasad said on Thursday that now there will be an examination for the appointment of teachers every year in the state. This examination will be conducted in the month of August. Along with this, Atul Prasad also made it clear regarding the second phase of teacher recruitment examination that CTET, B.Ed, D.El.Ed appearing candidates will not be given a chance to apply this time. He gave this information on social media platform X.
Exam will be held every year in August
Atul Prasad wrote in his post on social media that there is currently no plan to allow candidates appearing for CTET/BEd in the second phase of teacher recruitment examination. Instead, the teacher recruitment exam is planned to be held in August every year.
Presently there is no plan to allow CTET/BEd candidates appearing in TRE2.0.

Appearing candidates were asking for a chance to apply
Let us tell you that the candidates appearing in the second phase of teacher recruitment examination have not been given a chance to apply. After which on Wednesday the CTET appearing students had submitted a memorandum to KK Pathak, Additional Chief Secretary of the Education Department. In which the students had said that CTET appearing students should also be given a chance in BPSC second phase teacher recruitment. Students said that there were no vacancies for classes six to eight in the first phase. B.Ed candidates were excluded from being primary teachers, but they gave the exam with preparation. Due to this, he could not focus on CTET Paper 2. Many candidates could not even fill the CTET Paper 2 form. For this reason, appearing students should also be given a chance to apply for second phase teacher appointment. The appearing students were repeatedly demanding permission to apply. But now the Commission has made it clear that those appearing will not be given the opportunity to apply in TRE-2.
CTET application process continues
It is noteworthy that the application process for Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) is going on. The last date for submission of applications is November 23, 2023. Fees can be deposited till 11:59 pm on November 23, 2023. The examination for CBSE CTET 2024 will be conducted on January 21, 2024. To register for CTET, interested applicants should visit the official website of CTET, ctet.nic.in. The examination will be conducted in 20 languages in 135 cities across the country.
STET will also be conducted twice a year
According to reports, there has been an agreement between BPSC and the Education Department to conduct teacher recruitment examination every year. These teacher recruitment examinations will be conducted through BPSC only. Earlier, a decision has also been taken to conduct STET twice every year. Bihar STET 2024 notification is going to be released in December only. According to the information, the notification of Bihar STET 2024 can be issued by the board by 15th December.
Number of seats may increase in TRE 2
Along with this, information is also coming out that in the second phase of teacher recruitment examination, about 50 thousand vacancies remaining in the first phase of teacher appointment will be added to this examination. There are 16140 posts for classes six to eight, 18877 posts for classes nine to ten and 18577 vacancies for classes 11th and 12th. After being added to the already existing 70,622 vacancies, the total number of vacancies is likely to increase to 1.20 lakh.
Registration process continues for TRE-2
Till Wednesday evening, 1.25 lakh candidates have registered for the second phase of BPSC Bihar teacher recruitment. Online registration and payment of examination fees has started from November 5 and will continue till November 14 without late fee. This work can be done from November 15 to November 17 with late fees. Online application will start from 10th November and will be accepted till 25th November.
