Jharkhand: ACB arrested two Home Guard soldiers for accepting bribe of Rs. 3,000. They were taking bribe in lieu of duty.

Hazaribagh: Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) Hazaribagh On Friday, the team of Chhattisgarh arrested two Home Guard soldiers red-handed from Chatra while taking bribe in return for giving them duty. ACB team has arrested both the Home Guard soldiers while taking a bribe of Rs. 3,000. The victim Home Guard jawan had complained to ACB about demanding bribe. The matter was found true during investigation. After this action was taken. SP Arif Ikram informed that accused Anuj Pradhan had demanded a bribe of Rs. 3,000 from Pramod Kumar for giving him duty command.

Demanded bribe in the name of giving duty

Anuj Pradhan and Upendra Kumar Das, home guards of Home Guard of District Commandant Office Chatra, were caught by the team of Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) Hazaribagh on Friday taking a bribe of three thousand rupees. SP Arif Ikram told that accused Anuj Pradhan had demanded a bribe of three thousand rupees from Pramod Kumar (father Laxman Yadav village Postiya, Post Salaiya, police station Vashishthanagar Jori, district Chatra) for giving him duty command. The applicant’s duty is in electricity office Chatra. His duty was closed on 12 October 2023. Pramod Kumar had gone to the District Commandant’s office to demand command to resume duty. Anuj Pradhan had demanded money in return for giving him command.

Complaint on demanding bribe

Applicant Pramod Kumar had informed the Anti-Corruption Bureau, Hazaribagh about the demand for bribe. The entire matter was reported to ACB. This was found to be true during verification of the case by ACB. After this the ACB team laid a trap for the action. Taking action on Friday, ACB arrested both Anuj Pradhan and Upendra Kumar Das for taking bribe of Rs. 3,000.
